OMG! This is the beginning of an amazing day! I was driving into work this morning and to my pleasant surprise, Justin calls into my local Kiss FM station and they do a lil' interview w/him. He's already in Chicago....wow!!! I can't believe it...I'm in the same vicinity as da JMAN!!!! I'm sorry, you'll have to forgive me...I'm a bit excited right now! Anyway, it was a very funny interview. Now, just as a preface, the morning djs here are known for their raunchiness and man, they did not hold back on Justin. No worries, though...J was totally playing along, too...and seemed like he was really enjoying the interview.

First off, let me get to the Chicago Idol thing. He is very excited about it and can't wait to perform tonight. Get this...he is scheduled to perform 3 times!!!!! Woohoo!!! He will be performing 'Sorry' for sure, but didn't say what the other 2 will be...omg...I can't wait.

Then, they ask him about the water incident in TX. The DJs were really cool 'cuz they told J right away that when they read/heard about it, they knew it was total bogus. J went on to say that it was completely blown out of proportion and that he so apologetic about it and glad that no one was hurt. He said it was an accident and that he came 15 feet from hitting the girl. He just kept on saying that he was so happy that no one was hurt. He was so sweet about it. We knew the truth all along, J...but, it was just nice to hear him talk about it.

Okay, for the kinda raunchy part...Drex, the male dj told Justin to be ready for tonight 'cuz Mel, the female DJ, has the hots for him...um, c'mon...who doesn't? ;) Anyway, the DJs were joking that the Chicago Idol thing is just a cover up...that they're really throwing a POGO party instead. What does POGO stand for, you ask? Funny, 'cuz J was really interested in it and was laughing and playing along w/the DJs...he kept asking what it stood for. It stands for Put Out or Get Out...meaning, it's a party where you definitely have to hook up w/someone or get out. J thought that was so cool and that he was definitely up for it. Warning now...this is a lil' racy. Kiddies, ask your parents first before reading the following: They went into asking J how he 'measured' up...if he could be in a celebrity book of records with 'it'. J was totally cracking up. Drex went onto say that J could be Mel's personal American Idol. Then, and this is what really did me in...I was LMBO! J proceeded to say all sexy, "you know, I didn't win on the show, American Idol, but....." and then, he starts laughing. So funny! The DJs start applauding him and then, Drex says something along the lines of J having that bad, naughty streak and that he's probably not like Kelly who is so super sweet and probably doesn't have that kind of streak in her. All the DJs were saying that Kelly was the sweetest person ever and that she represents TX very well. Then, Drex asks J if Kelly does like to have fun. And J enthusiastically said, "oh yah!" He adds on that she is so sweet and that she is a darling...yup, he called her a darling. Awwww.

Anyway, that's pretty much the gist of it...it was a great call. I think it was totally unplanned so I wasn't even prepared for it...and was so happily surprised by it all. With this kind of start, I can't wait to see him tonight at Navy Pier. I will do my best w/a review later tonight...and I'll be calling some of my lovely online buddies while it's going on so they can start reporting while it's going on. I can't get off of work until noon, so I am praying all the tickets will not be gone...they're giving them away to the first 1500...and the station keeps saying that they are going fast. Ugh!!!...I will just about die if I don't get in...I might have to do something drastic...wish me luck!

Oh, and after the interview, they played 'Sorry'!!!!!! Drex said he will be playing it often 'cuz they love it! Oh yah!!!!

Alrighty everyone, Angie (aka Peppermint) just called me with some new stuff. First, the show just ended a bit ago, and Angie said Justin was quote phenomenal!! She said he was so great and the crowd was loving it. I guess it was packed ( I think there were more than the limited 1500) and while the 10 Idols were still performing, they were chanting "Justin, Justin." So the DJ hosting told everybody hold on, he is coming out soon. He sang OHTM, Sorry and UM. Oh and our lovely Angie went and video taped it anyway cause she's awesome and a little rebel. She said there were so many people no one even noticed, haha. So she hopes that turns out well. Also, after he performed she handed out the flyers she had from the Street Team. And everyone was taking them left and right. They even got passed back to her so she just kept passing them, haha!

Then this is where it gets even better. She waited outside with other fans for him to get into his limo. So he comes out and she gets to talk to him again. She told him he did fabulous and he thanked her of course. So Angie is on a little Justin high right now to say the least. I know I'm leaving some stuff out but I will add it in as soon as I remember. She even got to give him the present she got for him. How could I forget that. Score!

heyyy! I just got back from the show!!! OH.MY.GOD!!! I would love to wring the ears of peeps who says he can't sing!! THAT BOY CAN SANG!! The place wasn't packed early on the show but when peeps heard Justin was about to come up, peeps started crowding up the front of the stage and the place was in full capacity! What did I and my friend do?? Got up from our seats and also went upfront!

I was floored when he first came out as this is my first time to really see and hear him up close. Sang One Heart Too Many (eeee!) then Unchained Melody! (I wasn't at first thrilled coz I really don't like that song) but Justin !!! OH my Garra! He hit every note ! and to think that he was bending down and shaking fans' hands and interacting with us AT THE SAME TIME while singing the difficult notes but it all seemed soooo effortless! HE LOOKED COOL AND is SOO COOL! The last song was SORRY (he sang ALL 3 songs one after the other without breaks! by the way)  Peeps were lovin' him and his performance! I was sooo proud and happy for him (and he gained another fan--my co-worker/friend who I kinda coerced to come with me LOL)

Way to go Justin! I hope you have more gigs like this so more non-fans can be 'exposed' to your talent!
