Universal Citywalk, Hollywood, CA

What can I say? Justin and his band rocked, funked, r&bed, and souled Universal City Walk last night! I can assure you that everyone in that big crowd gathered around the stage, on main street, at the third level Food Court, and outside patio of Hard Rock Cafe was impressed with Justin. He was fantabulous and the show was excellent, excellent, excellent! My friend and I enjoyed ourselves so much that we kept thanking each other all the way home. I kept thanking her for going with me to the concert and she kept thanking me to asking her to go. We really had a wonderful time. My friend loved Justin--especially his voice.

We got to the Universal City Walk around 5:00 and we immediately scooped the stage. Justin and his gang were already there doing a sound check. J was looking excited, loose and happy-he kept jumping up and down--like warming up to run the hurdles. He was fun to watch. Even his sound check attracted a crowd (people can't help but notice--his voice was amazing) that he stayed for a mini meet and greet.

I wish all J fans were there to see this show. They would have been so proud of him. He was really really good. J was so good you even see his back up singers nodding their heads in unison (to acknowledge how talented this guy is) after each song. He converted lots of people last night.

After the performance of the the opening band (they were good too and got great response from a crowd), the attention of the audience was transferred to a 10 minute street show. For a while I got worried for J especially when the announcer did not get much response when he mentioned his name a number of times. I should have known that once he started performing...people can not resist--they had to listen and watch. Pretty soon the place was packed.

I think this is the song set:

Some Kind of Wonderful
Grove Me by King Floyd
Sweet Time
All I Do
Let's Stay Together
Get Here
D'yer/Ma'ker with American Woman
When She Cries
Addict (new song by J)
Dont't know the title (it starts--I used to go to parties and dance all night-refrain says "Keep on dancin"-he sang it all falsetto)
Power of Love
Missing You (encore)
