Next Gina Glockson performed, she was pretty good too, but we wanted JUSTIN! Finally he came on and was awesome! Pam says "OMG! He's HOT! hehehe... another convert! She was clicking away whilst I video'd. I think you'll all be happy with the results. I see that LST already made it to youtube, I didn't notice anyone else filming, but then I had more important things to concentrate on image Next he sang MY awesome again, then Space Cowboy and yes, he injected his humor into it, he even addressed that made-up word, said he looked it up! LOL!

Now it's time for Justin, Kim is so good to him, she gave him the best introduction saying what a good friend he is and how insanely talented he is and with that there he was, directly in front of me! When he was introduced the crowd showed him a whole lotta love. I have seen him from a distance, but up close he is gorgeous and I wasn't the only one saying so. Okay, so Justin is wearing dark jeans and that long sleeved white shirt he has with ruffles down the front.

The first thing Justin sings is Ain't No Sunshine which was amazing, that is a great song for him. I was barely listening, too busy taking pictures and watching the crowd's reaction. There were lots of cameras and phones being held up and Justin covered the whole stage pointing at people and a couple of times walked over to people with cameras and posed while he was singing so they could take his pic.

What struck me most about this whole encounter is that even though it was brief and the room was full of people, I felt like I had Justin's undivided attention. He made me feel that at that moment, nothing was more important to him than what was happening between us. I mean, when he looks at you, he really *looks* at you with all of his concentration. He was looking at me so intently that it was difficult for me to even look back at him, if that makes sense. And though I realize that part of the meet-and-greet is for pictures and autographs, I was still uncomfortable asking for them, as if I were intruding somehow. But Justin just gave me a look like "Of couse I will, silly! I'd LOVE to," and it felt genuine and sincere.

The show...short but AMAZING!!! He sounded flawless, strong, confident and he was having a great time with the kids in the front row. He sang better than he did in Grand Rapids!! . . . [H]e did Get Here, OHTM and WLY. He really put some heart and soul into it too, I was just, wow...no words.  . . .

I guess ya'll already read about the concert itself, but I'll give you my feelings on it.  I was in amazement.  When he came from behind the curtain, I couldn't believe it.  He was like 10 feet away and I could feel tears start to form in my eyes.  When he sang "Get Here" so beautifully, my breath was taken away from me.  I turned into a complete crybaby and during one of his songs, TCE turned around and gave me a hug.  When he finished his three songs I decide to follow the other ladies.  I had no idea where they were going but I figured it must be somewhere good.

As many times as I have listened to his CD, as Often as I have watched and re-watched the videos of him performing, I simply was not prepared for this!!!!!!!!!!!His voice live is simply amazing, breathtaking, freakin' incredible! He is amazing on stage...you simply are mesmerized, transported!! And as he often does, and is one of his many gifts...he makes subtle changes in the delivery of the song, making it feel new and special.

I must admit that I didn't watch AI1 except for the last show, and would not call myself a fan of Justin's. That being said, I did decide to make an appearance at the stage area since my daughter and I already had plans to go to Six Flags that day anyway - and I felt that we should help support Justin while he was here in the area. Also, my daughter was a bit excited about the thought of getting to meet him. . . Well, Justin sang beautifully! I was very impressed with him and his charismatic stage presence. I was even more impressed with him when we met him personally.

AI do not want to gush and all...but how can ya not? It was my first time meeting Justin...I cannot describe what was going through my head and heart. Seeing him that close...this man is by far the sexiest, most gorgeous, most adorable man in the universe. The word has been used before, but it should be repeated. He is exotic. I let everyone who was suppose to be there go first, then I dove in. I held out my hand for a shake, but instinctively it moved from his hand to around his waist, the other one around his shoulders...without thinking I went to give him an appreciative kiss on the lean-in. . Once he figured out the plan, he reciprocated and gave me a kiss too...HALF CHEEK HALF LIPS LOL. I then got my big hug....I dunno who squeezed tighter, he or I?? In his ear I said "God, I Love You" .....(see this is what happens, you cannot stop yourself).

By Cherie

At that point, we start walking and it hits us that we were going to see JUSTIN !! . . . We are all shakin' like a leaf.....then we turn into the arena and everyone is looking around near the stage.....I look up and HE is sittin' on the bleachers chillin' !!!! And I go "OMG....there he is" and he stands up and yells ...."There's My Girls !!" and goes down with open arms to hug us. I do believe that he said "bring it on" in reference to those hugs.

The screaming was non stop and he seemed to be enjoying himself in spite of the heat. The stage was really high so there was no way that he could physically make contact with the crowd. I was just pleased to see that he had a lot of fans and even the teen age guys around us seemed to be enjoying themselves. I would say Doin Things and Sorry got the biggest response from the crowd. One VERY interesting thing. After Justin finished the DJ said "Who thinks SORRY should have been a huge hit?"....more screams and than the DJ said something like Justin has been cheated out of a hit song.

I'm not sure but, I think Justin made my ovaries explode.

By Janie

Next thing I know, screaming is erupting everywhere! Wonder what this could mean? Yep, here comes the fro headed towards the stage! And there is a God and she loves me because there are NO long sleeves! Granted, no wifebeater. Just a tee-shirt, but you can see those gorgeous arms of his! I cannot even begin to describe how hard my heart was beating. He came on and asked if it was okay if he sang us a song. IS THE POPE CATHOLIC? Are you outta your mind, Justin? Of course by now, you all know what he sang. . . . The performances? Flawless. Absolutely flawless. It was breathtaking. And you may find this surprising but UM got most of the screams from the pre-teens and teenagers. Especially when he hit the high notes (which by the way were absolutely amazing!). Poor whirly. I felt sorry for her because I know that I gripped her arm a lot during the performances. I hope she doesn’t have bruises!

When he came out he was so humble and sweet as he addressed the crowd - he thanked everyone for standing by him and supporting him, and mentioned what a strange trip its been. . . . Voice was beautiful and right on as you might guess. He stayed to the front of the stage (was I really within 5ft of him, ahhhhhh glorious!!!) and touched hands almost the entire time (people were really freaking out with the hands thing. Girls were shoving and crying, trying to touch him - it was crazy!) At the end of UM everyone was screaming so loud that you could hardly hear him.

By Harmony

You've read about his comments to Itty. I'm telling you, that moment was incredible. Itty is truly a lovely girl, so openly kind to everyone. And I'll never forget that image of her father when Justin said, "Brittany, I've been hearing about you all week." Camera poised in left hand, his right arm shot upwards like he'd just made a touchdown. I think he even let out a whoop. We all cheered! Precious.

What can I say? Justin and his band rocked, funked, r&bed, and souled Universal City Walk last night! I can assure you that everyone in that big crowd gathered around the stage, on main street, at the third level Food Court, and outside patio of Hard Rock Cafe was impressed with Justin. He was fantabulous and the show was excellent, excellent, excellent! My friend and I enjoyed ourselves so much that we kept thanking each other all the way home. I kept thanking her for going with me to the concert and she kept thanking me to asking her to go. We really had a wonderful time.

The whole concert was casual and interactive and Justin had the crowd laughing and singing along through the whole thing. There's a difference between funny and corny, and Justin is funny. He ended doing a bit with The Joker that worked really well in terms of the humor. He also told a story on himself about his fashion choices on Idol. You'll hear me laugh on the tape, I'm sure.

Don't underestimate how hard it is to get people to sing along. The band that came on before tried and tried and almost no one cooperated. On the video, you can hear people singing with/for Justin (when they knew the words).

OMF(RICKIN')G!!!!! That was the best concert!!! . . . No Eventually, but he sang 3 (?) new songs. One he wrote fighting insomnia either on the way to England or IN England. I can't recall. My brain is fried! . . . He was all over that stage. He sang various types of songs and interacted with the audience a lot. His voice was AMAZING and I teared up at the end of Get Here.

It was interesting to see Justin working a crowd that wasn't there so much to see him as their friends and family who were competing [in the Big Room contest], and winning them over.  They brought him out to do a song first, before the contest.  Typical of Justin, he came to the front of the stage and commented that the lights were so bright, he couldn't see the audience.  A young woman yelled out "I love you Justin!" and he replied, "I love you, too.  I can't see you, but I love you!"  LOL!  The lighting crew figured out he actually wanted to see the audience, so they brought the lights down a bit.  He then sang Night and Day.  It's funny how every time I hear him sing that song live, I experience this moment of awe when the intro is over and the first notes come out of his mouth, because his vocal tone is so smooth and pitch perfect, you can't believe it's not studio magic.  Justin has said that's his favorite song on Stranger Things, and you can hear why because he and the song fit like hand in glove. . . .

I thought I was at least inoculated. I had seen Justin only once before, performing on stage at Vassar from my balcony seat. Even from that distance his magnetism and presence shone light a beacon causing the others sharing the stage with him to fade into the background.

But nothing could prepare me for meeting him in person and close-up. . . . It was a wonderful performance, intimate yet loose, off-the-cuff yet always a pro. Justin singing, Justin dancing, Justin signing autographs, Justin kissing and hugging his fans, Justin lighting up the night…it was truly a magical evening that I’ll never forget. . . .

So, they had him perform before the fashion show took place (Thank God) and he sang OHTM and then Who's Lovin You - acapella.  Twice in one lifetime I've seen him do this song - I am one lucky beotch!  He did say that WLY will probably be on his next album coming out in early 2005. . .  . Just two songs - about 6 minutes - I dream of the day when I can sit in a concert hall and hear him sing for 2 hours.  sighhhhhhhhh

by Just In Time

I don't know what to say about Justin that hasn't already been said. He's just a genuinely nice guy. Even the security guards at the mall were impressed with him. I overheard a few of them talking about how nice it was that Justin volunteered to stay until everyone in line got an autograph. . . . I was really impressed with the way Justin treated EVERYONE that waited in line to meet him. He never acted tired or bored. He was always friendly and upbeat. He smiled at everyone, posed for pictures, gave hugs, cracked jokes. I waited in line for two hours and when it was finally my turn to meet him, he was just as nice to me as he was to everyone else.

Then he spoke for a bit to the crowd. Thanked everyone for coming out and supporting the singers who had competed, what it means to them and how much it takes to even try to do it. Then he thanked everyone for continuing to support all three seasons of American Idol. . . . Yes, he is THAT amazing! The show that has effectively shat all over him and he thanked the crowd for supporting the show! He is JUST AMAZING! Sigh! I love Justin! Such a gracious, wonderful person.

By naturalwoman

As Justin got up to leave a few people ran up to him asking for last minute autographs. His "man" said "you don't have to" but of course Justin was like "oh, it's cool." As he was leaving there was this little boy trying to get Justin's attention so I yelled at Justin and pointed to the boy. Justin said "I gotta sign this" and grabbed a pen. He also took a few pics on the way out.

Well, they introduced Justin and the crowd goes NUTS!!!!! The DJs jumped back and laughed it was so loud . . . . He opened with "One Heart Too Many" ....spot-on perfect. . . . Then, he started singing "Condition of My Heart" ...I think. At that point, I was actually staring at Kyana and Cin and Sheridan with my mouth open, catching flies, then we all started screaming. I think he was on-key....LOL! Actually, he sounded perfect on this one too....I've never heard a singer sound as good live as on CD as consistently as Justin. . . . When he started "Doin' Things" we were all beside ourselves even BEFORE the hip rolling began...then forget about it! . . . The bras were flying at this point...he swung them around for awhile, then gave them back...gotta love that about him! . . . Then, he nailed "Sorry".

By Joseph

So anyways we had to listen to a lot of yucky bands and other people sing stuff they call music and . . . it started to rain so i had to turn off my phone and also we were trying to keep the stuff i took to give to Justin dry when Justin came out and he was on the stage and they took a long time to let him on su i started to say JUSTIN JUSTIN JUSTIN over and over and everybody started to do it to then he came out and he sang . . .

By SmittenMusicLover

It's time to go so I clasp my hands together and ask for a hug and kiss. "Sure, baby." He gets up from the chair and starts to lean across the table. "Oh no. I'm coming around for this!" . . . Man! Let me tell you, those lips are as soft as we thought they were! I hug him right back and suddenly I feel a soft blowing on my neck. . . . Remember what I said before about my hair? Well, when Justin hugged me he put his face right in my hair, he didn't really have a choice since I have so much of it....LOL, and I guess he was blowing it away from his mouth. Anyway, he starts to let me go but I'm not ready to let go yet so I hug him tighter. He hugs me just as tight. You know how some people make a grunting sound when they're giving you a big hug? Well, that's what Justin did. Followed by a quiet, dirty little laugh.

Justin sounded really great, actually his voice amplified in the open air was much clearer and purer than during the AI concerts, even with the smaller sound system.   I love the way he does Unchained Melody live, I know it is a cover song but it really suits his voice perfectly.   My mom...who was not really a Justin fan....said hearing him sing that live gave her chills, because of the passion and emotion he puts into it.

The contrast between Justin's performance and the rest was just striking. Not just because of the screams, but because of the way he handled himself on the stage. I’m not telling those of you who’ve seen him anything different than you already know. Even SixPence, which has had a couple of hit records, has a singer who basically just stands there and occasionally does a bit of "helium arm" (you know, looks like there are helium balloons tied to her arms that lift them up and her hands flutter a little). Justin, by contrast, spent all his time at the very front of the stage. You can see it all in the video clips. It was like we had spent the day having energy thrown at us by the other performers who didn’t care where it landed, but with Justin, the circuit was closed and he drew as much back from us as he gave.
