After almost a year of fantasizing about it, my wish finally came true, and I got to see Justin up close and in person, get an autograph, and pictures.

It was fun meeting up with so many fans from the boards (the World and the House),  I ended up sitting right next to Midwizz, not ten feet from the stage, and we chatted a bit (note:  do not leave Justin alone in a room with her....no telling what she might do to him....;-).  I also met up with  Tisanjfan (who got me back on the boards...thanks) and Rosearlene and briefly met Justicelover, CDiva, Fairyprincess, Dustygirl, and I'm sorry if I forgot anyone.  It was very hot and very sunny, and I was there from about 9 am.  The waiting was torturous, especially since I spend most of the day fruitlessly trying to rinse that damn sand off my hot, sticky, sunscreen-slathered body, and out of my bathing suit.

Justin teased us with a sound check about 3:15 then disappeared for another hour (I guess to change his clothes and fluff up his hair, which was in a do-rag during the sound check).  I think he said he had just flown in from Memphis?  He looked good during the sound check (mmm....those arms), but when he came out for his performance he looked like a star.   I liked the crisp white t-shirt and black pinstriped slacks.   I had seen him on stage before, but never that close up, and his eyes....OMG those eyes just draw you in.  Even my 62 year old mom, who I thought was immune to his charms, said he looks so much better in person.

Justin sounded really great, actually his voice amplified in the open air was much clearer and purer than during the AI concerts, even with the smaller sound system.   I love the way he does Unchained Melody live, I know it is a cover song but it really suits his voice perfectly.   My mom...who was not really a Justin fan....said hearing him sing that live gave her chills, because of the passion and emotion he puts into it. "One Heart Too Many" and "Sorry" were good too (I love the little knee-lift thing he does during "Sorry", and the head bobbing, I think during the "ba-a-a-a-a-by please" part.   I would have loved to hear more, especially since we had to endure almost two hours of the "warm up" act, a techno-rock group which was more like a "send the audience packing" act.  Yikes.

Afterwards we all followed him up to the boardwalk area (damn...I swear he's like the Pied Piper!) to the Z-100 table for his radio interview, where he started chewing a piece of gum.   I was planning to take pictures, but watching his lips work that piece of gum was strangely hypnotic....not to mention erotic as all hell.   Justin has the most beautiful lips I have ever seen.  Oh, and the Z-100 DJ asked him about him and Kelly again....*yawn*, to which he again pleaded with them to allow him to keep his private life .....private.

Then Pied Piper Justin led me and the crowd back again past the stage area to where he was going to sign autographs.   A line was already forming (some people must have been tipped off, we were in the wrong place!), and as we were waiting with about 25 people in front of us, a lady announced that the signing would end at 5:10 sharp, which gave us exactly 15 minutes to get to the end of the line.  Midwizz and I went into panic mode at this point, I think.

It all gets kind of blurry after that, because as I got closer and closer to him I became pretty much catatonic.  I was hypnotized again, this time by the jinglets.   I ended up giving him my CD to sign, managed to blurt my name, then realized I should have asked for a picture with him instead (it was either or).   Luckily my daughter was with me so I got her to pose with him instead.    Probably just as well, because I never come out good in pictures and would have ended up cutting myself out anyway.  Truthfully, in retrospect I would have liked to be as bold as Midwizz and get that hug, but between sunstroke, heat exhaustion, dehydration and Justin's sexual pheromones attacking my senses, my brain activity was limited to basic life support at that point.

Anyway, it was a very, very, very long day, but it was completely worth it.
