Major league baseball has asked fans this season to pick the most memorable moment in baseball history. Cal Ripken breaking Lou Gehrig's consecutive games played streak is leading right now with just more than 106,000 votes. Do we need any more proof about how far baseball has fallen on our list of things to care about? Ripken gets 106,000 votes and Kelly Clarkson and Justin Guarini generate 100 million votes on American Idol. Now, if only Ripken would have belted out a medley of Burt Bacharach hits.
