For Alex Johnstone (fast-rising star Mircea Monroe, All Souls Day, “Drive,” “Scrubs”), racing is in her blood. It was her father’s life – and it ultimately caused his death. But her dream is to follow in his footsteps, and become a top driver. Her Uncle Bill (Dwier Brown, The Guardian, Gettysburg, the Academy Award®-nominated Field of Dreams), the owner of the local speedway, is equally determined not to lose his niece the way he lost his brother .

But Alex is determined to prove to Bill, to the world, and especially to herself that she has what it takes to be the best in a traditionally male-dominated sport. And when she encounters handsome professional racecar driver Darryl (“American Idol” heartthrob Justin Guarini), the stakes are raised even higher. One thing’s for sure: No one is going to put the brakes on Alex. Will she crash and burn, or can she carry on her father’s legacy and make her dreams come true?

The film’s cast also includes family comedy favorite Caroline Rhea (“Sabrina the Teenage Witch,” Christmas With the Kranks, Ready to Rumble) and is directed by Daniel Zirilli (The Champagne Gang, Curse of Alcatraz).
